These are bags of coffee from The Coffee Bean in Corona Del Mar that families have written notes to soldiers on:

“Thanks for your service. Be safe!”
“Know that we appreciate you and have you and your families in our thoughts and prayers. Thank you! God bless!”
“Thank you so much for all you’re doing, you’ve done. God Bless.”
I understand that undoing the fucking Crazy™ that has the world by the hair isn’t a simple task, but still, the degree that people have their head up their asses is staggering. I mean, wow, “Be safe?” “God Bless?” These people must have skeletons made of rubber to be able to bend over backwards that far!
I’m going to stop myself from going on a rampage about what a ridiculous, infuriating, and totally groundless pile of peacock poop the world’s views are… but I can’t overlook offensively effortless and masturbatory gestures like these without at least giggling at the stupidity and posting a picture or two somewhere.
What fucking good, by ANY stretch of the imagination, is this accomplishing? Oh that’s right, absolutely nothing beyond making them feel a little bit better about the absolute insanity that they’re engaging in, and I absolutely mean that regarding both parties: the people writing the stupid notes and the soldiers that might be reading them.
Let’s not at any point stop and think “Hmm… maybe we shouldn’t be murdering each other,” or “hmm… maybe war begets war and murder begets murder (including capital punishment where the punishment for the crime is quite often the same as the crime being punished),” or “maybe I should spend some time researching, pondering and understanding the implications of the things that I’m supporting and participating in (even if at a distance) instead of just swallowing what I’m being force-fed by the American media, especially when it involves murdering men, women and children,” or “why is my god more real than my enemy’s god, and who said that it was in the first place?” or “maybe making a real change is more important and useful than helping to create a make-believe world where writing some bullshit on a bag of coffee is all I need to do in order to put my horse-blinders back on,” or, and this is really going to be blasphemously anarchistic, “maybe I should follow my heart instead of my head, and maybe I should act from sanity instead of reacting to the fear that I’ve been instilled with.”
How ’bout we bomb Stupidtopia instead!!?? :D

God Bless.
